Appreciating our Environment!

Here at Leigh’s our ethos is to provide an enriched home from home environment to help and support the children as they grow, learn new things and explore.

We’re always creating an enabling environment that suits each individual child’s needs and development, following their next steps and interests and adapting our environment giving them new activities to help them learn and achieve. Our Snowdrop and Sweetpea environments have floor activities to help the children develop their core strength during tummy time and focus on their balance when learning to sit independently. We also provide low level units enriched with different activities to support the children with their personal, social and emotional development as well as their communication and language skills.

Our Snapdragon and Sunflower environments are filled with activities to support the children in expanding their vocabulary, focusing on their mathematical skills as well as their literacy. Sunflower’s have activities that support school readiness as the children grow and begin to reach school age.

Outdoor play is very important at Leigh’s and our outdoor environment is filled with things that help the children work on their gross and fine motor skills. The children learn so much while being outdoors about the environment and taking on new challenges during risky play.
