British Values!

At Leigh’s Nurseries British Values are a huge focus in our learning. They are the most important skills children learn in the early years as they encourage healthy development and readiness for future learning.

British Values are broken down into the following points. Democracy by making their own decisions, having Mutual Respect and tolerance for others, Individual Liberty by encouraging the children to have their own self knowledge and Self Esteem and the rule of law to encourage children to manage their own feelings and behaviours.

We teach this daily at Leigh’s through adult led and child initiated activities. The children promote this independently throughout their play as well as learning the importance of this.
