Bubble Wrap Play!

The Sweetpeas have been having so much fun during our feel and find sensory activity! We used bubble wrap to hide different objects and encouraged the children to discover them independently.

During this activity we used lots of open ended questions and actively encouraged the children’s vocabulary. Some of the children used single words to identify the hidden objects such as “frog” “shell” and “wow”. The children were interacting with one another throughout, showing excitement when sharing with their peers what they had found. They took turns when exploring each object by passing it to their friends which was lovely to see.

After finding all of the objects, the Sweetpeas then began extending their own play by lifting the bubble wrap up and hiding the objects again. Some of them even went and independently found more objects to hide. It was amazing to see their smiling faces when doing this!
