Changing Seasons!

We are focusing on Autumn and the change of seasons which has been so exciting. The children enjoy exploring our Autumn themed tuff tray. We talk about the change in our environment and how the leaves fall off the tree. The children then use sensory exploration and enjoy crunching the leaves in their hands. We then see what other objects we can see by looking through the magnifying glass. The children independently counted the pine corns and take turns doing so.

We also used our fine motor skills during this activity and set the children a task to see if they could make their own tree by cutting the toilet tubes. The children loved this activity and got so much out of it. We were able to extend this activity throughout the morning by going on a nature hunt in the garden.
