Commonwealth Games 2022!

The children have been enjoying taking part in different sports games at nursery to celebrate The Commonwealth Games. We have been learning all about why the games are held and the Sunflowers particularly have been really engaged with joining in and taking part.

We chose our different teams that we would like to participate in and then took it in turns to try the different sports around the nursery garden. The children were fantastic at cheering each other on and sharing the resources out.  This taught the children all about teamwork and working together to achieve more.

We loved using our gross motor skills and hand eye coordination to toss the hoops onto the cones, carefully navigating across the stepping stones and hopping over the bridge!
