Embracing Our Natural Curiosity!

26.05.2021

The Sunflowers have loved embracing their natural curiosity about bugs and insects recently.

We first learned about different kinds of bugs, using our mathematical knowledge to count how many legs they have and talking about all of the other differences such as where they might live and if they can fly.

This then lead onto learning about the life cycle of the caterpillar. Throughout these activities the children have been asking lots of questions and have been keen to find the bugs and insects in our outdoor space.

Learning about bugs and insects has encouraged the children to explore the world around them all while practicing observation, investigation and problem solving skills.

Lots of love,

Everyone at Leighs  xxx
