This week the children have been absolutely loving experimenting! We’ve been getting busy exploring different colours and what happens when they’re mixed together. This is such a great activity and can easily be done at home too. All you need is some milk, food colouring, cotton balls (or pom poms as we like to call them) and soap.
Pour the milk into a tray, pipette the food colouring around the outside of the tray and place a soap soaked cotton ball into the middle. All of the colours will begin mixing together on their own – it really is amazing to watch!
The children loved watching the colours move around and blend together. We spent time talking about what colours we could see and how they evolved! Science experiments are a big hit with children of all ages in the nurseries.
We really hope you’re all doing ok – take things one day at a time and stay safe!
Lots of love as always,
The Leigh’s Nurseries Team xx
