Experimenting with Colours!

The sunflowers and snapdragons enjoyed practicing the different colours by talking about what colours they could recognize, as well as mixing and creating their own.

The children took turns using and dipping the paintbrushes into the pots of paint, talking about their favourite colours as they tried to write their names independently.

This activity also linked brilliantly with numeracy and literacy week as we have been focusing on the importance of recognition of the different numbers and letters.

We encourage and support the childrens understanding by giving them the independence of mark making and trying to form letters and numbers themselves.
