First Aid Training!

Recently some of our staff have renewed their first aid training. We decided to incorporate this into the children’s learning!

We demonstrated and explained to the children what basic first aid is and some different ways we can help.

The children thoroughly enjoyed using the bandages to treat the babies, and showed a great understanding of how the thermometers work. They represented numbers during their role play and spoke about what temperatures the babies had.

The children listened well to our explanations of CPR and were able to imitate our actions on the dolls. They enjoyed singing Nelly The Elephant to the beat as this song helps keep the correct pace during CPR.

We spoke to the children regarding the importance of keeping others safe and looking out for each other.
