First Aid!

This week the children have been learning about first aid. Young children can pick up important skills quickly and introducing them to these skills early is incredibly beneficial due to the numerous transferable skills that can be used in their futures. Together we decided to create our own doctors surgery!

The children loved role playing with the dolls using their knowledge of the world to look after the babies using cold compresses, bandages and plasters. They were able to copy experiences that they have seen in real life and use them in their play. The children used mathematical skills by reading the numbers and using literacy by writing down their important information. The children had so much fun doing this and then decided to use their new skills on their peers and staff.
