Friendship Cupcakes!

Recently at Leighs Nurseries we have been making Friendship Cupcakes!

Each ingredient represented a feeling or an action such as caring and sharing. We pride ourselves on building relationships at nursery whether this may be with staff or children, particularly because we have had new Sweetpeas join us so we do everything we can to ensure they feel welcome!

Each child was encouraged to add an ingredient to the cupcake cases, using their fine motor skills to transfer each ingredient with the metal spoons. When doing this, we discussed what each ingredient represents and also the colour and texture of the ingredient.

During the activity, we spoke about our friends and why it is important to be kind and caring towards one another. Overall it was a really beautiful experience enjoyed by every single one of us!
