We’ve had a very busy week not only focused around Remembrance Day and Children in Need, but also Diwali which has been so much fun for everyone!
Here at Leigh’s Nurseries we think it’s so important to celebrate special days from lots of different cultures and religions as it introduces the children to them from an early age. The children have experimented and explored different colours and messy activities related to The Festival Of Light. They’ve enjoyed painting their own candles with lots of different materials, making Diwali decorations to hang up as well as exploring some beautiful sensory trays.
The children have also loved learning about Indian and Hindu culture through some exciting food tasting. They were all confident in trying the Indian cuisine and all loved it which was just brilliant!
We will be continuing our celebrations of Diwali into next week as we have lots of exciting activities planned.
Lots of love as always,
Leigh and the team xxx
