Healthy Eating!

The snapdragons and sunflowers have enjoyed talking about healthy and unhealthy foods at nursery.

The children showed they could talk and listen to each other in a small group, discussing ideas and answering questions brilliantly. Working together in small groups builds confidence and helps the use of language to connect their own ideas and feelings.

The children were able to identify which items they would choose to be in a healthy packed lunch, showing understanding and learning the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. The children then practised their cutting skills using hand eye coordination and learning the importance of using equipment safely, actively developing their independence.
