It’s A Hat Trick For Heddon!

Dear Parents & Carers,

We have some good news amongst all the recent uncertainty!

Just before the lockdown our Heddon nursery was inspected by Ofsted. This was our first inspection under the new statutory framework introduced last September. The new framework has seen many nurseries lose their good or outstanding gradings and has caused concern throughout the childcare sector.

However, we are very pleased to tell you that our Heddon nursery has once again been graded OUTSTANDING across the board. This is the third time in a row Heddon has achieved Ofsted outstanding, placing the nursery at the very top of all childcare settings in the UK. Both of our other nurseries in Gateshead and Newcastle work to the same high standards and are also graded outstanding by Ofsted.

Having four kids of our own, we used to struggle to find the right quality of care that we wanted for our children, which is why we started Leighs Nurseries. We’ve spent the last 15 years working hard on getting it right. Ofsted recognises this and says “Leaders promote an outstanding culture of continuous improvement. Staff work very closely as a team and strive to provide the very best for children.”

Which brings us to our amazing team of staff who are THE BEST in the business. We cannot praise them enough for the kind and caring work they do with the children. They have an inspiring track record of providing outstanding quality of care every single day – including throughout the past eight difficult weeks.
