Keeping Warm In Winter!

14.12.2020

The Sweetpeas have been talking about keeping warm in Winter. They have been practicing their independence by putting their hats and scarves on all by themselves! We spoke about the importance of keeping warm and the Sweetpeas shouted “hat” while pointing to their head which was brilliant!

We always encourage independence within each and every child here at Leigh’s and by practicing putting their own winter accessories on it gives them a big sense of accomplishment!

To further our learning we explored some sensory winter trays which was great fun! The Sweetpeas used their fine motor skills to push the snow around in the tray. It was amazing to hear them express the different sensations they were experiencing. One Sweetpea explained excitedly how cold one of the trays was! Throughout this activity we spoke about the changes that happen during the different seasons and how the white foam represents snow!

Lots of love,

Leigh and the team xxx
