Learning About Habitats!

We have been busy learning all about habitats. The children always show interest in animals so we decided to implement this into our planning to develop the children’s knowledge further.  We set up our activity which was simple and fast. We grabbed some blue foils to recreate the sea and some materials which looked the colour of land.

We collected animals from around the nursery and placed them in a basket so the children were able to separate them independently and identify where they thought these animals lived.  The children showed that they had a great deal of knowledge about this and continued to speak about the activity throughout the day which was brilliant!
