Learning About The Moon!

Recently the Sweetpeas have shown a keen interest in the moon. We decided to show them all about space and the other planets that surround the moon. The Sweetpeas were really excited when they saw the sensory lights! As the activity progressed they learned new vocabulary such as ‘planets’.

We then used our projector to take a closer look at the moon, also using our book ‘My First Planets’ which helped us to learn some new and exciting facts. The children spent lots of time inside our pod watching the colourful stars which they found very relaxing. We extended the activity further by singing ‘zoom zoom zoom we’re going to the moon’!
