Learning Measurements!

Recently the children have been enjoying learning their measurements!

They confidently picked up the measuring sticks and looked around the room for things to measure independently. They discovered to their excitement that everything can be measured! From our feet and hands, to our friends and teachers; the children excitedly measured different objects and people and had so much fun doing so!

We then grouped some of the objects by height after finding out their sizes. The children talked and learned about words that are associated with size, such as big, small, large, long and short! The older children understood that some things can grow and we talked about how we will get taller as we get older!

This activity helped the children develop their counting skills brilliantly!
