Leighs Iced Tea Shop!

The Sweetpeas are exploring our tea themed tactile tray which includes ice, fruit tea and a range of fruits to taste test.

They all showed curiosity at the different objects going on, firstly feeling the ice and laughing realising it was cold and repeating the word “cold” with ease. When demonstrating how to pour the fruit tea into the cups from the teapot the children mirrored the action with good concentration and added in a range of fruit. They were so proud of their efforts! When realising they could eat the fruit the children enjoyed trying them all while expressing if they liked the taste or not.

We talked about what we could see and how the ice was melting to water. The children used their fine motor skills throughout and linked how to use the jugs to transfer the water into cups and tea pots.
