Happy Bank holiday Monday everyone we hope you’re all enjoying yourselves! I wanted to say a huge thank you for all of the lovely feedback during Mental Health Week last week!
After another challenging but amazing week I was surprised with the most beautiful bouquet of flowers from my Newcastle team who have worked really closely with me over the last 9 weeks of lockdown. The flowers are absolutely beautiful and their kind words made me feel so valued and appreciated (there were definitely a few tears!) Some of the verbal feedback was so lovely from the girls that it sparked the idea to share how they feel working for Leighs Nurseries on the blog!
There are so many overwhelmingly kind words to share that we’ll spread them across the next few weeks for you to experience too!
Jade (Senior Manager): I have been working with Leigh and Paul from day one when they first bought Heddon nursery, back in November 2004. The feel of the work place changed and I felt the passion to care for others. I was only 22 years old when I started to work with Leigh. Leigh has a really lovely way of making you believe your full potential. They have both been supportive through lots of exciting times of my life. Buying my first house, marriage and having two lovely girls. But also those times when it can be difficult. They have been there to hold my hand that time when me and Stu (my husband) landed on their door step during a health scare. They came to see me in hospital with a picnic that could last a week. I feel very blessed that I met them both nearly 16 years ago and have so many lovely memories and can’t wait to see what the future brings. Could NOT imagine working anywhere else.
Erin (Senior Nursery Nurse): I’ve been working at Leighs for nearly 4 years now and from my interview at Gateshead, trial at Newcastle and then officially starting at Heddon I can honestly say we pride ourselves on a home from home environment because I have never felt so welcomed by everyone in all 3 settings. It explains why families choose us because we are all OUTSTANDING! Working at Leigh’s has boosted my confidence massively and with the support from Leigh, Jade, Laura and Emma I was able to become a senior because they guided me and helped me reach my full potential, and each day I am still learning new things! All of the girls I work with are amazing and are not just friends but are like family! I wouldn’t change my job I’m glad to be a part of Leigh’s Nurseries!
Hayley (Senior Nursery Nurse): I’ve worked for Leigh’s Montessori for 14 years now! Working with children has always been my passion from a young age, Leigh & Paul have supported & pushed me to achieve my full potential in my career & gave me so many amazing opportunities throughout the years. Staff well being is paramount to them the support I have received not just professionally but also personally is above & beyond. Whenever I need support, advice or even a shoulder to cry on management is there without any doubt. My daughter is also part of the Montessori family, while at Leigh’s she suddenly became profoundly deaf, a traumatic time for us all. The love, support & outstanding care she received is something my family will be forever grateful for. At the age of 11 she still talks about her happy memories there! Leigh’s truly is the happiest place to work and I’m so proud to be part of the team. Heres to many more happy years!
I think it’s so important for you to hear what our staff think about working for Leighs Nurseries – above are just 3 of many amazing pieces of feedback that we can’t wait to share with you!
Lots of love as always,
