Leighs Thankful Tree!

Recently here at Leighs we have been focusing on thankfulness. We’ve been busy making a thankful tree for nursery and on each leaf we wrote down the name of someone who we are thankful for. This gave the older children the opportunity to talk about who they are thankful for and why. They all had brilliant fun practicing their fine motor skills to grip and control the pencil to create lots of different letters and marks.

The children also made their own personal thankful trees. They enjoyed using different coloured materials to create leaves for their trees. We talked about the colours of the leaves they have seen outside and replicated that with their very own autumn trees. Together we wrote things around the tree that makes us happy.
