Happy Monday everyone we hope you all had a fab weekend with your beautiful families!
You will always find that messy play activities are ongoing across all age groups within each of our nurseries as we feel it’s highly important for a child’s development. It consistently provides children with an exciting tactile and sensory experience that massively inspires their inner curiosity. It also allows them to explore the world around them and enhances their learning, language and creativity!
We find that the children learn best through experimentation and discovery. We actively encourage this on a daily basis, allowing them to explore new textures and manipulate different materials through touch, smell and taste. Messy play also enhances a child’s cognitive and physical development, providing a whole host of opportunities when it comes to their fine and gross motor skills, muscle strengthening, balance and hand to eye co-ordination!
With all of that being said, the core of it is that the children absolutely love getting messy with us, whether its squishing jelly, gloop or paint in their hands, jumping or digging in muddy puddles or crunching rice krispies and pasta between their fingers and toes. Every little unique opportunity offers a new learning experience for them.
See you all on Wednesday for another post!
Lots of love,
Everyone at Leighs Nurseries xx
