Letter Recognition!

Here at Leigh’s we create an ever changing environment to support the interests that our children express.

We have been focusing on letter recognition recently and the children have been exploring the letter cards and logs and using them to create words and practice their sounds.

Since the children were so engaged and involved in this we expanded on their knowledge by incorporating their favourite stories and characters into their play. We read stories such as The Gruffalo and The Secret Path and used the letters to recreate simple words that were within our stories.
