Nature provides endless opportunities for discovery, creativity and problem solving. Interacting with natural environments allows children to learn through experimenting with new ideas!
The children loved making their own nature catchers to hang in the garden. They used hand and eye coordination to stick down the different flowers and thread the string through. We spoke in detail about the different colours and textures of the natural resources and the children enjoyed telling us what flowers they could recognise. They were so enthusiastic when doing so which was amazing to see!
After the catchers were ready, the children helped choose the perfect place to display them. We’re all really excited to watch if they attract any new life to the garden! Why not try out this activity in your own gardens at home, please share your experiences with us we would love to see them!
Lots of love as always,
Everyone at Leighs Nurseries xxx
