New Beginnings!

This week we are learning about new beginnings. The children joined in with our practical life activity, helping to clean the babies and wash their clothes. They independently did this by imitating everyday actions that they see adults carrying out.

They absolutely love this activity whenever we do it and enjoy the responsibility of role playing with the dolls massively.

Practical life activities centre around everyday life meaning their importance when it comes to development is key. Children subconsciously observe these activities within their environment and actively gain knowledge through the real experience of how to accomplish life skills in a purposeful way.

We place a real importance on them here at Leighs Nurseries in a bid to develop the children’s independence, concentration and sense of responsibility as best as we possibly can.
