Number Of The Week Fun!

Every week here at Leighs we choose a number and incorporate it into the learning environment! The children learn through counting objects using different tactics and strategies on a daily basis. Recently with the seasons changing we’ve been learning a lot about the growth and decaying stages of the natural world through looking at different leaves and conkers, while using our fine motor skills to grip between the spider webs to collect and count some autumn treasures. The children loved talking about the different textures and how slippery the conkers were. They enjoyed working with their peers and showed huge amounts of pride as well as  good communication skills throughout!
