We’ve been busy learning about our respiratory system. As we all know, the main function of the respiratory system is to supply oxygen to all parts of the body! We demonstrated what this looks like to the children using simple materials to create a replica of our lungs. This is really easy to do, all you need it two straws and some nappy or plastic bags!
The children were amazed and had lots of interesting questions after seeing the lungs inflate and deflate. We discussed how keeping healthy and exercising had great benefits on how much oxygen we take in and how much carbon dioxide we breath out. This resulted in us concentrating on our own breathing. We practiced inhaling through our noses and exhaling through our mouths.
We hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. Stay safe and keep smiling!
Lots of love as always.
