Physical Development in Snowdrops!

10.07.2020

The Snowdrops have been focusing on physical development recently. We have been doing some walking practice, climbing support and feeding ourselves finger foods amongst lots of other exciting activities!
Physical development in babies is so important as it also supports cognitive development. It helps to build up muscles and joints as well as improving coordination, balance and flexibility.
Snowdrops loved having some walking practice, having one to one time taking steps in between staff and also taking some steps holding on to staffs hands. They’ve enjoyed pulling themselves to stand on different units, cruising around and climbing on our rocking elephant as well as practicing their balance and core movements. At snack time we have been feeding ourselves finger foods using pincer grip to pick up our snack and guiding it up towards our mouths.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Lots of love,
Leigh and the team xxx
