Rainbow Eating!

The children have been having so much fun learning all about how to keep our bodies healthy, happy and strong.

A recent colourful activity to promote healthy eating was a huge hit! We decided to create a rainbow to explore all of the beautiful colours fruit & vegetables are!

We looked at each food closely, talking about our favourites while sorting them into colour groups. This was great for promoting the importance of eating our five a day!

We then moved onto taste testing which the children all got stuck into, trying different fruit and veg to find out which ones we liked & disliked.

–

We talked about the textures, smell & taste of each one. The children used great describing words such as sweet, smooth, rough and juicy. We talked about how all this tasty goodness helps keep our bodies healthy & strong and promoted trying new foods at home too by ‘eating a rainbow’.
