Road Safety!

Recently we have been learning a lot about road safety. We talked to the children about how to cross the road safely and taught them some songs that will help them remember to Stop, Look and Listen! The children also learned how to recognise some simple road safety signs such as the STOP and GO sign.

We talked about the impact on the environment as well as where is safe to walk and which colours are an important part of being safe on the roads! The children also helped to create their own traffic lights and stop/go signs before heading out in the garden for some road safety role play. They loved changing the sign to stop then go and they really began to understand what to do at zebra crossings and when it’s safe to cross.
