Sensory with Sweetpeas!

The Sweetpeas have loved exploring sensory bags recently! In each bag there were different textures for the children to be able to explore using their fingers. Throughout this activity we talked about what colours we could see, it was great to hear them being so vocal with this! The Sweetpeas used their fine motor skills to pick each bag off the tray to get a closer look at what was inside!

We encouraged sharing of the bags with their peers and also actively promoted their language development as they babbled to their peers! Using sensory bags is a perfect opportunity for children to further their fine motor skills and pincer/palmar grip which will later help them with using writing tools!
