Storytelling Fun!

The children have been showing a lot of interest in story telling and story time. The listening and reading of stories promotes brain development in children of all ages, boosting their imagination and helps develop their emotions.

Children are always so curious about everything and listening to the wide range of stories we provide here at Leigh’s can help the children understand more about the world around them. While reading and listening to stories the children are always using cognitive learning, for example they practice their number knowledge by counting the number of animals they can see on the page.

There are many other benefits to reading stories to children, it can help expand their vocabulary as well as increasing their concentration, we have a lovely cosy story corner here at nursery where the children independently choose their favourite stories and share with friends!
