At Leigh’s Nurseries we allow the children to take charge in their play and interests. This means everyday is different and follows what they want to do. Last week as it was full of sunshine the children have loved exploring our gardens. They noticed lots of flower petals on the floor and then noticed our big blossom tree. The children asked if they could create their own blossom tree and collected all the petals that had fell to the ground.
When in the garden comparing the blossom tree we had made to the real one in our garden the children discovered snails which shortly lead to them searching for lots of other bugs in our garden. They then wanted to create a home for all of the bugs we had found and used lots of natural and recycled materials to create a lovely home for our bugs. These activities encouraged the children to talk about what they see in their natural environment and how to take care of nature and living things.
Lots of love,
Everyone at Leighs xxx
