Talking About Our Feelings!

27.05.2020

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Following on from Mental Health Week,  we have been talking about our feelings and why it is important to be kind to our friends!

The sunflowers loved completing our feelings activity. We got out our big feelings cards and explained what different feelings we have, such as happy, sad, grumpy and scared. The children each took turns picking a different card and explained to their peers when they felt that way and why. We then went on to talk about why it is important to share our feelings and that sometimes we don’t always feel happy and that’s ok!

The children have been learning about how to be kind to one another whether it be sharing toys or taking turns. We have also learnt about happy and sad words, and how sad words are not kind and make people feel down, therefore meaning we should always use happy words with our friends so that they are happy!

Lots of love,

Leigh and the team xxx
