We follow the curiosity approach at Leigh’s Nurseries as we believe this allows the children to use their imagination in play.
The use of everyday objects helps the children use their cognitive development to get their imaginations flowing. There is no right or wrong with the curiosity approach, nuts and bolts can be used as sweets in a sweet shop or built up to make a tower for example. It allows the children to be independent with their play with lots of teachable moments intertwined.
We know children get a lot out of this approach and have seen first hand how much this supports their creativity.
Lots of love,
Leigh and the team xx
