Transferring Activity

The Sunflowers really enjoyed a recent transferring activity here in nursery! We used one of our tuff trays and lots of different sized containers and tools to transfer different objects. This activity is amazing for children’s fine motor skills as they focus brilliantly on using the tools to individually empty and refill the containers.

The children actively discussed different sized measurements such as half a cup or a full tablespoon which really used and improved their mathematical skills. The children also showed great social skills, sharing the containers with each other and passing back and forth the different tools for transferring.
