Under The Sea Sensory!

With our Sweetpeas we have been exploring sensory under the sea number hunt bags. The Sweetpeas used their fingers to push the spaghetti around the bags to reveal the numbers and point out all of the different fish hiding inside and they were very vocal and excited when doing so!

To extend our learning further we placed the sensory bags onto individual trays, so the children could use their hands to pick up the fish and foam numbers! The Sweetpeas enjoyed exploring the different textures they could feel and see in the tray!

This activtity is a perfect opportunity for the children to strengthen their fine motor skills and massively encourages counting as well as early number recognition.
