Cleaning our Teeth!

In Sweetpeas we have been talking all about teeth and how we keep them clean and healthy.

Kirsty demonstrated how we apply toothpaste onto the toothbrush before encouraging the Sweetpeas to do so themselves. They used their full hand to apply the paste onto the brush before moving the brush back and fourth on the teeth which was amazing to see! During the activity, we used flashcards to guide the Sweetpeas, while we discussed why brushing our teeth is so important.

This activity was so beneficial to the children as it promoted health and self care within their learning. It is also a fun and practical way to help develop the concept of why we brush our teeth twice a day.
